Tasty but pricey for the portions. Butter chicken is always a good choice. The fried bread is good too. The rice quality varies each time I come. Quick and convenient since it's mall food. When you order online, they don't honor the yelp coupons. Not a big deal since it's only $5, but just wanted to let you know.

Guess I wasn't sure what to expect considering it's in the food court of a shopping mall. It's served mostly "ready to scoop" but also offered options to order from a menu. I got a combo plate with Butter Chicken, Saag Paneer, and Beef Vindaloo. Butter chicken was best of the lot, but mediocre in comparison to many other Indian restaurants I've experienced in the area. Saag Paneer was strange. Creamier texture than I'm used to, and oily in appearance. Again, okay flavor but nothing I'd rush back to order. Finally, Beef Vindaloo. Yes, beef in Indian cooking is strange for you culturally in-tune folks; however, it's a must in Colorado and Texas and common from what I've seen. This by far was the worst Vindaloo I've ever experienced. Bland would be an achievement. There was no fragrance of ginger and garlic, no heat or pinch from the vinegar. This almost seemed a stock Indian gravy that could have been used in multiple dishes as a base. Definitely not somewhere I'd make plans to visit again.

Honestly some of the best Indian food I have ever had and I have tried a bit. Working in the mall the food gets very boring and is super over priced, however with Taste of India that has all changed. For $6.49 after tax you can get two entrees, rice, and naan of your choice. This is enough food for me to have two meals! They make their food fresh ingredients daily and do not pre make and freeze everything just like every other place in the mall does. The food has so much flavour that adds to rhe taste as opposed to masking it. The reason I gave them one less star then five is because they use to switch their entrees daily and now it is the same food every time. That is fine for mall goers, however working there makes it a downfall. This is still my go to place for dinner every week!

Not great for Indian food, but a place to go for your first experience with Indian food. The taste is less intense, and makes it easier for people who haven't experienced it yet.

Worst Indian food I've ever tasted in my life, and I've had my fair share of Indian food nightmares. Don't recommend anyone to go there. Their current location is in the citadel mall, which is a virtual labyrinth.

The combination plate is a great value. Rice, Butter Chicken and Curry Chicken is the best combo so far. I work close to the mall and come for lunch often. The NAN is my favorite. My picky kids even like the food so it's a win win. Best place for lunch in the mall next to Chick-Fil-A

It is way too expensive here for what you get! I originally wanted the chicken tandoori, but they were out. So they recommended the chicken tikka instead, and all that I got was some chicken and onions wrapped in foil. No rice, no bread, no other side came with it. It was especially disappointing since it cost $13, a standard price of a REAL meal at other restaurants. Despite the lack of value, the chicken was very flavorful and very spicy, even for the medium spice level. Those of you with highly disposable income would feel more comfortable dining here. I don't really understand why a food stand in the mall would feel it necessary to charge so much for one entrée.

Indian food at the mall - what a great idea! They've only been there a week and I really really hope they make it. How awesome is it to have REAL food options at the mall as opposed to greasy burgers and Shit-Fil-A! The mall attracts the dregs of Colorado Springs - not your typical lovers of ethnic cuisine so please if you read this - GO SUPPORT Taste of India 2. Yesterdays entree options included mango chicken, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and a few other options. I had saag and tikka both were very good. Oh and they have a great deal - two entree options, rice and 2 pieces of naan for 5.99 that's a bargain! Good portion sizes and friendly service.

The original Taste of India was one of our favorite restaurants. We came back to the Springs for a visit, and were given a groupon as a gift; we were surprised to find the restaurant had moved to the mall food court. The amazing lunch buffet is gone. We ordered our two favorite dishes, butter chicken and tomato curry. We did not get naan or drinks as we have in the past as they have raised prices, but the two entrees alone were $29, and the portion sizes seem reduced. It may be the containers they are now served in. The butter chicken is still delicious and highly recommended, and the saffron rice is tasty. Everything was hot and fresh. The tomato curry used to be my favorite; thick sauce with chunks of vegetables and chicken. It has been replaced with a disappointing, watery vegetable puree and a few pieces of chicken; I didn't bother finishing it. There was far too much sauce for the amount of rice given. The food is overpriced given that it is to be eaten in a filthy, crowded mall food court. There are few tables near the restaurant itself. We're so sad that the original restaurant is gone, because we won't be coming back to the mall location.
